COURSE CONTENT CONTINUED

Technical theory closely related to the day to day needs of the practicing photographer is an important element of the course. Students are required to maintain a substantial file of written notes which, when completed, form a comprehensive reference text of long term value. The business and marketing side of photography is dealt with in some detail and includes insurance, advertising, legal aspects (copyright etc.), as well as learning how to get your work into print via stock-agencies and picture libraries.

Students are introduced to the work of eminent photographers throughout the year. This is aimed at broadening appreciation and awareness of the individual’s future potential. A high level of care is promoted in the College at both the personal and practical level while occupational health and safety issues are emphasized at all times.
