“ We all know that there are countless photography courses out there. They’re practically spilling out into the streets. Most of these institutions are spitting out photographers by the truck load, all with a special number and a matching list of skills.
Something which stands out about my experience at the Brisbane College of Photography & Art is that I didn’t just come away from it with a piece of paper and a HECS debt. I walked away with inspiration and ideas. I walked away with valuable experience and an industry standard portfolio. I walked away with a sense of direction I wanted to take.
My teachers weren’t just teachers; they’d been my friends, foes, advisors, mentors, and role models. I was challenged and pushed to the edge time and time again, and I can’t thank them enough for it.
Learning the craft of photography was one thing, but finding your own angle is the most challenging part. For me Brisbane College of Photography & Art provided a solid foundation for the discovery and development of my identity as a photographer and an artist. All the best! ” |
