Darkroom Black & White Level Three

Black & White Level Three focuses on establishing a portfolio of finely crafted images. Throughout the program, you will be Printing A3 Black and White Prints to a portfolio standard, with plenty of hands on practical work under the guidance of an experienced tutor. You will also be taught mounting and image displaying techniques used by art galleries for presenting your work.

Throughout the program, you will be encouraged to develop your own personal style through assignments on various topics, which will aid in the production of a personal portfolio of images.

• Portraiture

• Landscape
• Fashion
• Human Interest
• Still Life
• Animals
• Sport

Practical darkroom sessions aimed at giving students “hands on” experience in the following areas:

• Printing on Various Paper Types
• Archival Paper Processing
• Printing A3 Black and White Prints
• Dodging and Burning principles
• Toning Images
• Traditional Hand Colouring Techniques

The program runs for eight consecutive weeks, with each class being two hours long. Course Fee is $360.00.
