Colour Level Two

This course by combining Landscape and Macro Photography allows students to expand their knowledge and creativity far beyond the introductory principles.

This in-depth course uses an intimate approach and students will receive instructions in the following areas:

• Creative composition for photographing anything from nature to man made subjects such as jewellery and other macro subjects.
• The essential elements and principles of design.
• Lens selection and useful accessories.
• Techniques for controlling depth of field, adjusting exposure and setting proper white balance.
• Background selection.
• Angles and perspective, arranging foreground and background in your photograph.
• Setting a mood- Colour or B+W.
• Filters and filtering.
• Demonstrations will show you first hand how to use flash, light modifiers and reflectors.
• Photography of documents, drawings and jewellery.
• “Digitising” negatives and slides with the camera.

Whether you are planning a short trip to the seaside or a longer adventure to a more exotic location, capturing breathtaking, memorable landscapes that depict the grandeur of a location is a photographers foremost objective. Also taking pictures of small objects up close – whether indoors or out – is an adventure. Discover new ways of visualizing and capturing beautiful photographic images by moving closer to reveal detail.

The program runs for eight consecutive weeks, with each class being two hours long. Course Fee is $375.00.
