Colour Level Three

In Colour Level Three students will be studying techniques in Portraiture for both location as well as studio photography. This program also includes a lesson with a fashion Model where students have the opportunity to light, direct and photograph the Model.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop a professional rage of portrait images to enhance your portfolio and portrait skills. Suitable for both Film and Digital Camera owners. Completion of Colour Level Two is the prerequisite for this course.

In level Three, students will receive tuition in the following topics:

• Family Portrait Techniques and Tips covering posing, lens choice, perspective, backlighting and “fill-in” flash.
• Instructions are given for capturing a professional portrait, including the study of Lighting Composition Posing
• Achieving the highest technical quality
• Photographic style (Newman, Avedon, Ritts and Bailey among others)
• Equipment for Portraiture

  • Camera types
  • Lenses
  • Lighting (Natural, Tungsten, Flash)
  • The use of reflectors
• A Selection of lighting styles that compliment a subject’s face will be explained and demonstrated.
• Low Key and High Key Portraiture.

The program runs for eight consecutive weeks, with each class being two hours long. Course Fee is $370.00.
