Sports Photography Workshop

Have you seen photographs of the Olympic Games and wondered how the photographers captured all the action? Here is your chance to learn the techniques of sports photography.

This full day workshop includes classroom theory and a practical location component of a local sporting event. The clinic will be conducted by a specialist in the field of sports photography, with extensive publishing success. Students will need to bring along their own SLR cameras. Please note that this workshop is only for people who already understand the essential theory & practice of using their camera. It is suitable for both Digital and Film SLR camera users.

Topics covered in this workshop are:

  • Lens Selection
  • Shutter & Aperture Combinations
  • ISO selection for difficult shooting situations
  • Composition
  • Camera angles
  • Lenses
  • Choosing the correct auto focus mode
  • Picking the “winning” photographs

The workshop will commence with an illustrated lecture of approximately two hours at the college, commencing at 9.30am. We will then travel to the venue to apply our newly acquired knowledge under the watchful gaze of your tutor. The workshop will end at around 4.00 pm.

A manual SLR camera (film or digital) is required for this workshop. If you are working with a film camera, film can be purchased from the college at very competitive prices. Please note that this workshop is for one day, from 9.30am until 4.00pm.

Course Fee is $180.00
