Seen photographs of the Sydney Olympic Games and wondered how the photographers captured all the action? Here’s your chance to learn the techniques of sports photography from Michael Broadbent, a member of one of Australia’s leading sports agencies, “Sporting Images Australia”.
Michael has many years of international and domestic sports photography experience shooting assignments for magazines like Inside Sport, Triathlon Sports Magazine, Aussie Post Magazine, Ralph Magazine plus many more. Organisations like Queensland Surf Life Saving, Australia Touch football, Australian Women’s Hockey, Athletics Australia, QLD Rugby League, QLD Rugby Union (REDS), QLD Cricket (BULLS), Netball Australia, Netball QLD, Brisbane Broncos and the Brisbane Strikers soccer club all utilize his services.
The full day clinic includes classroom theory and a practical location component at a local sporting event. Students will need to bring along their own SLR cameras (Film or Digital). Please note that this workshop is only for people who already understand the essential theory and practice of using their camera.
Topics will include lens choice, shutter speed and aperture combinations, exposure for difficult shooting situations, camera angles, follow focusing and much more.
